Colorado, first familiar to Americans in the Gold Rush, became a state in 1876. More recently, Colorado has become a popular ski destination in the winter and resort destination in the summer, building up the old mining towns of Aspen, Telluride, and Vail into modern bustling paradises. Colorado now thrives on its flourishing tourism industry that makes it one of the US's most visited destinations. There are many large resorts in Colorado looking for seasonal help. With over 127 miles (204 km) of coastline, people from all over the world travel to New Jersey to have fun on the beach, which makes New Jersey a great place to work!
Wildwood, Cape May, and Avalon on the southern tip of New Jersey are among the most popular destinations in the summer. Wildwood is known for its amusement rides, beach shops, and water parks. About 40 minutes by car up the coast from Wildwood is Long Beach Island. New York City and Philadelphia are only a one hour drive away (maybe a little more by bus and summer traffic), making it ideal if you want to work in a beach community but still have the option of exploring some of America’s best cities.

New York State

Ocean City, Maryland

Located on the Atlantic coast, Maryland is the home of many US colleges and universities. It is now known as the wealthiest state in the US! An interesting but little known fact about Maryland is that it possesses no natural lakes, as the glaciers did not make it as far south as Maryland, however there are many man-made lakes. Home to the historic US city of Baltimore and next to the nation's capitol, Washington, DC, there are so many things to see and places to visit!
Ocean City, Maryland is widely known in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States and is a famous destination for tourists. Ocean City extends just over 9 miles (~15 km); the strip supports hotels, motels, apartment houses, shopping centers, residential communities, and condominiums. Ocean City is also known for its nightlife, having earned a reputation for offering some of the wildest nights in the area! Because most of the businesses in this beach town are only open during the summer, there are many second job opportunities for those students looking for extra work.
Fact: The Delaware coastal area is well known as a place where pirates hid from the law. Local legend has it that Cedar Island holds many a pirate's buried treasure.

Outer Banks, North Carolina

Washington, DC

The capital of the United States, Washington, DC, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the entire country.
